Prepare for a whimsical elegant celebration of our union in style, class & sophistication. Given Lake Garda’s unique climate in late Spring, we wanted to provide our guests the opportunity to embrace the best of Italian style while still being comfortable on the lake in direct sunlight during the afternoon ceremony & aperitivo. Use this opportunity to have “fun with it” and embrace true “Dolce Vita” (the sweet life).
In order to ensure your comfort, we have provided some inspiration below of various color schemes for the wedding guests.
Warm earth tones from cream, beige, brown, tans, pastel spring color suits also welcome. If you often get hot wearing suits outdoors, it may be best to avoid black suits as it could be warm during the day time portion of the ceremony.
Normal wool suits welcome and should not become too hot if lighter colors chosen. Linen also welcome for those wanting a more airy feel to stay cool during daytime portion. Cotton/wool blends also acceptable and will keep warm during the cooler night time portion should the breeze pickup.
Celebrate spring time with Italian Garden Party pastels and color tones. Avoid any colors that are too vivid/neon.
Feel free to embrace the best of Italian lake chic, just be aware that breezes can often come out of nowhere and plan accordingly should a dress be less than “wind friendly”.
In order to make the wedding as enjoyable to your liking, we recommend a few things to consider prior to coming to make the evening as comfortable & pleasurable as possible. Remember that Isola Del Garda is on an island in the middle of the lake and will require boarding & debarking off a boat in a classy/comfortable way (keep in consideration).
Expect a comfortable breeze but warm in direct sunlight up to 80F. At night cooling down to 60F benefits layering to remain comfortable.
The beautiful Italian Garden Aperitivo while picturesque is gravel based sun deck, thus we recommend NOT wearing any narrow pointed stiletto type heels.
Be sure to let us know of any food allergy considerations when filling out the RSVP form.
